Located near the slopes of Kilimanjaro, the lake is amazingly clear with steep crater walls. It is the deepest inland water body in Africa with the depth of about 3km. Due to the enormous depth boating is recommended. Visitors can hike at the lake and enjoy the beautiful view and fresh air. Aside from plenty of fish, Monitor lizards, baboons, monkeys and common snakes may be seen by chance.
PRIVATE FAMILY ADVENTURE
Just because you’ve settled down and had kids doesn’t mean you have to stop having adventures.
Travel is something you never grow out of, whether your kids are little or almost grown, we have got an adventure that will fit them and you.
PRIVATE ORGANIZATION TOUR
Marangu (meaning Land of Water in the local Chagga language) is perennially lush and cool, with mornings shrouded in mist and doused with overnight rainfalls. It’s a great deal more romantic than Moshi — ideal if you prefer a more rural atmosphere, with most of the accommodations options conveniently within the Marangu village. This makes it an ideal base for those who wish to explore the foothills and forests of Mount Kilimanjaro. If you don’t wish to fork out for park fees, it’s worth noting that there are also a number of walks to waterfalls that fall outside the park, which can be reached on foot in Marangu villages.
