5 Days Selous and Mikumi National Park! Take part in an exciting boat safari and enjoy memorable adventures on full day game drives in Selous Game Reserve. Participate in a walking safari where you will have the opportunity to be up close to nature.
Day 1; Dar es Salaam – Selous Game Reserve
Depart Dar es Salaam heading to Selous Game Reserve. The drive will take 5 hours with a stop and enjoy a hot lunch. You will arrive in Selous in the afternoon where you will check in and then depart for an exciting boat safari. Later in the day you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay at Camp/Lodge
Hippo camp is the best place to have dinner and breakfast while overlooking the rufiji river.
Day 2; Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast, with a picnic lunch in hand, you will depart camp for a full day game drive in the Selous Game Reserve. Explore the Selous habitat observing lion, giraffe, and elephant just to mention a few. At the end of the day you will head back to camp for dinner and your overnight stay at Camp/Lodge.
Day 3; Selous Game Reserve – Mikumi National Park
After breakfast we start drive to Mikumi National park. Game drive in Mikumi in the afternoon if time allows.
Mikumi is known for its large herds of elephants and is also known as the ‘little Serengeti’. Mikumi is also a good place to see lions and huge Baobab trees.
Day 4; Mikumi National Park
After an early morning breakfast you will depart camp and head out for an exciting game drive in Mikumi National Park. After the game drive you will have a lunch box for the day You will return back to camp for dinner and overnight at Camp/Lodge.
Day 5; Mikumi to Dar es Salaam
After an early morning breakfast, you will check out and start your way back to Dar es Salaam. You will experience your final game drive on your journey. The drive will take approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the airport, hotel or other specified location. This is where your safari will end.
